Graphite Drawing Art Piece

I feel pretty confident in my shading abilities, and I also felt quite confident about doing this piece. The left side of the hat looks a bit unusual, but that’s how I saw it. I like this piece very much and I think this is much better then any other graphite piece I’ve done before. I like it a lot.

Colored Pencil Art Piece

  This project was very hard for me. I’ve never tried to use colored pencils to draw before, not like this at least. This project involved misxing colors and creating new ones. I’ve never shaded using colored pencils before. I did improve while drawing, but seeing everyone else’s artwork, I felt very discouraged with mine. I got about halfway done and ran out of time. I didn’t enjoy this very much at all. If I had a choice, I wouldn’t use colored pencils to draw again.

  So my name’s Jared. I’m an 11th grader at the Academy, in North Texas. I’ve lived here all of my life but I hope to move away not too long after I graduate. I really envy people who can mix paints and create colors that aren’t in their palette… I also take a lot of pride in that I’m mediocre at shading objects. =) I want to learn how to put more value in my drawing and make things more life-like.
